When HTC and Nokia used aluminum and polycarbonate with their latest flagship phone, the big question is which material will be used on Samsung Galaxy S4. According to Eldar Murtizan, Russian blogger who has confirmed the release date of the Galaxy S4 on March 14th, he claims that he has already seen the Galaxy S4 which has been shown to selected press and carriers at MWC 201 and confirms that the device will feature a plastic like its forerunners.
Same as Samsung executive VP of mobile, Y.H. Lee says that Samsung will use the same material as previous devices. The reason is that their device will be sold in high volumes so they need fast and efficient production. Samsung also listened to their customers who want a removable back cover and claims that the plastic back cover is more durable than the back of other smartphone because it's flexible and can absorb more physical impact.
Lee also says that Samsung has tried out to balance between practical demands and premium design product
"I think the next product has a nice balance between this ... We listen to the market and try to accommodate."
Samsung's plastic Galaxy S4 will be introduced on March 14th in New York City and rumored to be feature a 4.99-inch Full HD display, 1.8GHz Exynos 5 Octa CPU, 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera and runs Android 4.2 out of the box. So if this rumor is truth, is the plastic body bother you ?
